Failure to detect some RSS/Atom feeds

Unread post by Andrew Herbert » 2019-12-09, 22:01

The browser failed to detect RSS/Atom feeds from these websites, even though they actually have feeds at /feed and /comments/feed:
https://www.madinamerica.com
https://escoladelucifer.com.br

Because it is not being advertised with a link tag on the actual page. Though escoladelucifer.com has a feed to its sidemap for some reason. Anyway, you can thank browser vendors, especially Mozilla, for dropping RSS in favor of centralized, sanitized, and sanctified media feed supporting the current mainstream news narrative.
