New in PM V28.7.2 - form history never reappears..

The autofill browser based function of firefox/palemoon is Lost in this new palemoon version.
& when i reselect the above, & redo the same manipulation above,
-Preferences
-Privacy
-History

the selection magically moved back to "Remember History"

But in no case, form histories are remembered & re-offered in form boxes,
after installing that last version of pale-moon.

If you're used to forms (especially logins) automatically being filled when visiting pages, then you should realize that that behavior was changed a while back to prevent hacked websites or intercepted networking (e.g. through DNS hijacking) from stealing your login credentials. You can re-enable this in preferences -> security (under "Passwords"), but it's recommended that you don't. To recall form entries all you need to do is click the field, and you'll be presented with the available form history entries for that field.

P.S.: the "automatic" changing of the preferences for history to a simple entry happens if your custom selections for history match one of the predefined states. That is by design and has always been that way.

I don't know, i hadn't touched anything & always had "Use custom settings for history" selected in previous Pm version.
Moreover, your method for bringing back lists of user given logins does not work, maybe i need a restart ?.. .
I wish ppl had an option to revert it back using about:config instead, while keeping the browser based form remembering "system"..

Effectively, a restart was needed, it came back, i don't use it for passwords, only logins & i hope it's not gonna affect
forms when i missed an info & need to return back for purchases. So i hope this isn't only restricted to login fields..

otherwise, i'll be compelled to try one of these

or condemned to never update after PM V28.7.1, cause during purchases,
we're dealing with sensitive data & i can't play with that, that's why keeping
the forms control in the code & have it activated through about:config,
would have been marvelous.

This was not changed recently, it was done quite a while back. 28.7.1 and 28.7.2 have the same behavior in that respect.

form control always allowed more data to be saved from different types of boxes,
not only "login" boxes.. & you've sent me to a fix involving "login" boxes..

that's why i'm asking you if other fields are saved too before this sort of downgrade happened ?
