I'm on my windows hard drive right now.

After scrolling down a bit, the page renders properly for me, but I had to "disable" uBlock Origin (1.16.4.6) for it to do so since there are lots of advertisements on that page.

This hard drive is using 32 bit windows Pale Moon 28.3.0 running in 64 bit Windows 7 Home Premium SP1.

Adblocking is not causing this from my end.
I tried using a vanilla Portable build..
Same thing.

I'm back on my windows 7 hard drive again. Clicked on the link and with Ublock Origin disabled, the page loads properly for me, but it takes the page a l-o-n-g time to load.

I just tried on a different computer..
Same thing there.
The page fails to load properly in Pale Moon v28.3.0, but loads just fine in Pale Moon v28.2.2.
A regional thing perhaps?
Certainly a real issue.

EDIT:
The issue doesn't appear to be regional either.
I tried all three proxies here, and the page fails to load for all of them:

Off-topic:
Just as an experiment, even though this is a Bug Reports for Windows, I'm on my linux hard drive now.

Clicking on the link with uBlock Origin disabled, the page does "not" load properly for me when I'm using 64 bit linux Pale Moon 28.3.0 running in 64 bit linux Mint 19.1 (Tessa) Xfce. Something is not right with this website.

Like I said; I've already ruled out adblocking as the perp here.
Besides, I'm using a Norwegian filter anyway, which makes sure that this site works with uBO enabled.

Work for me when all adblockers are disabled (blank spaces are in fact advertising pictures or animations)

All images that fails to load appears to use the .lazy.article-image ID (although some images with this ID still loads).
I'm thinking that this change is causing it!:

The behavior is the same on Firefox with uBO enabled - blank spaces.

Again; this is NOT an adblocking issue!!
It occurs when using Pale Moon v28.3.0 under Win8.1, and doesn't occur when using Pale Moon v28.2.2 under the same OS.
I've reproduced this issue on two Win8.1 systems.
Perhaps someone else that's using this OS could try too?

Can you check the builds found via mozregression related to this bug?

(Rambling...)

Lazzy load

28.3.0 seems to take a long time for the topmost "articles" to load

28.2.2 does load better

I'm not going to troubleshoot this. The site is a total mess.

Aside from tons (and I mean tons) of the following errors:

Code: Select all

TypeError: NetworkError when attempting to fetch resource.
pulse.min.js:1:59643
There's a smattering of:

Code: Select all

This domain is not fully authorized to use some of the player features. Please contact the VGTV development team.

Code: Select all

LP Video: logPlaystart must be called before logTimeupdate

Code: Select all

[Touchpoints] Error: Waited too long for SPiD, aborting.
Stack trace:
value/</o<@https://jssdk.touchpoints.schibsted.media/v1/touchpoints.sdk.vanilla.js:1:49397
And plaintext returned for what should be XML responses:

Code: Select all

XML Parsing Error: no root element found
Location: https://www.vg.no/check_ip_access
Line Number 1, Column 1:

Code: Select all

XML Parsing Error: syntax error

[Why is there always a page rendering issue?]

I know I'm old school (v27.9.4), but maybe my experience will have meaning to somebody.

I went to the site twice and reloaded/refreshed once one of the times I was there. The site always loaded essentially immediately and fully. As far as I can tell, nothing is missing. I scrolled all the way to the bottom, and there was never a problem. Every time I got to an up-scrolling page portion that needed a graphic the graphic appeared quickly and with no problem. I can't see anything wrong.

So, the site may be a mess internally, but with v27, as a practical matter, the site appears to be just fine.

PM28.3.0(x64) Win8.1(x64)

No problem here, the page loads in a few seconds with no blank spaces with ABL enabled.

I found a workaround..
If I scroll further down the page, past the non-loading images, and then back up again, the images will have loaded!

I've tried with several different browsers now, and Pale Moon v28.3.0 seems to be the only one that is affected by this issue.
..so it's probably related to the "lazy frame construction" commit, which I refered to in one of my previous posts.

Not sure how this lazy load feature works exactly, but it looks like the trigger to load some of the images gets activated too late (after I've scrolled past them).

Perhaps screen resolution is a factor?
I'm using 1920x1080 (native).

EDIT:
Nope, changing screen resolution doesn't help.
