MathJax/mhchem not rendered correctly

Unread post by pinkmoon » 2018-12-30, 21:38

At various places on the stackexchange sites MathJax an mhchem is not rendered correctly.

E.g. the comments at https://math.stackexchange.com/question ... al#3057170 do not show mathematical expressions in Pale Moon. Firefox 64.0 and Chrome 71.0.3578.98 work (see image below). I'm quite sure that this worked in previous versions of Pale Moon.

This has already been discussed on the forum, please do a search for "mathjax" to follow the discussion.
In short: it's a combination of these plugin libraries specifically with how stackexchange slots the code into the comments section that tickles a layout bug in Goanna. This bug has already been addressed, is fixed in the unstable channel and will be fixed in the next release of Pale Moon.
