Only since the 28.2.0 64 bit update.
UAC comes up every time I open PM.
Even when PM is open, EVERY TIME I open a MAFF file it will first give me the UAC again.
No problems once the browser is open.

Only guessing but...
Sounds like you are a normal user & installed PM "As Administrator".
Into what directory did you install PM?

Which executable does the UAC prompt indicate?

@therube
@moonchild
I apologize for the delay (-:
My setup is Toshiba Satellite P770 running Win7 SP1 with PM.28.2.0. It's mostly updated.
I use an account with admin priveleges. I installed PM as admin and I invoke it as admin.
PM is installed at C:\Program Files\Pale Moon\palemoon.exe
I start PM with "C:\Program Files\Pale Moon\palemoon.exe" -private
When I open PM, UAC displays "C:\Program Files\Pale Moon\palemoon.exe" -private
When I open a maff file, PM can be open or closed and UAC displays
"C:\Program Files\Pale Moon\palemoon.exe" -osint -url followed by
"the complete path" in quotes. The path has spaces in it.
Thanx!
Larry

Re: Starting PaleMoon brings up UAC
You should invoke it normally. Explicitly running it "as administrator" can call up the UAC prompt because your admin account isn't elevated by default (that's a good thing).el es wrote: I installed PM as admin and I invoke it as admin.

@Moonchild
I apologize for not being clear.
I invoke it normally from an account that has admin priveleges.
I do not do it from an elevated Run As Administrator.
I don't yet know it that's acceptable.
I started with 28.1.0. This did not start happening until I upgraded to 28.2.0
