Pale Moon forum

Just the built-in Windows Defender in windows 10, no other security software.
Nothing about Pale Moon in Reliability Monitor or Event Viewer.

I'm wondering if it's an issue with Nvidia graphics. I switched to integrated Intel graphics for PM and haven't had any more hangs yet. Did get a few slowdowns but no full hangs.

EDIT: Scratch that...it's back to frequently locking up.

updated to 28.0.0.1 and also started with a fresh prefs.js. Still hanging.

I've no idea of how to read the callstacks but I see 'C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbae64.dll , Malwarebytes Corporation , Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit, Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit' loaded in all three snapshots.

Sorry if this comes off sounding a bit annoyed, but as I've said in all of my prior responses to you, I have already tried with Malwarebytes and all associated software fully uninstalled from my PC. It did not have any effect on the hangs. The hangs are unrelated to malwarebytes. I have already tested this. I reinstalled malwarebytes after confirming that it was unrelated, because the hangs happened with it fully deleted.

Then why didn't you submit a hang report in the state where malwarebytes is -not- installed?

....Because I sometimes miss the obvious, I guess. Sorry.
Will do that now, hold on while I wait for it to hang again. Sometimes it takes a few minutes.

I can get more if you want, this was just from about five minutes of browsing, so I can browse for a few more minutes if you want additional ones.

Still present in 28.0.1.

Please remove NoScript and see if that helps.
If not, restart the browser in Safe Mode and see if -that- helps.

Please report back with your findings.

Will do. Is there an alternative to noscript that works with pale moon? I looked at umatrix but apparently that's not compatible.

uMatrix 1.1.4 works fine. If you can't find it anywhere else, it's on github somewhere.

I've been running without NoScript for a day or so (cleared cache, fully deleted NoScript, rebooted, etc), and it seems more stable? I'm getting occasional stutters but no full-on hangs yet.

found it here though it's already an old version & the last one for PM as v1.1.6 & higher are webextension based

As a side note, not related.
I see you are already using uBlock. uMatrix works fine alongside uBlock. So far no problem.
However even Gorhill doesn't use them both alongside anymore (he uses only uBlock) because he considers it to be a bit of stretch.
Just sayin', after all it's up the user to decide.
