v28 "Downloads" toolbar button download item status text is gone

Hello,

OS: Windows 7 Pro 64bit
PM: v28.0.0 64bit

Just to make it clear there are 2 download toolbar buttons ("Customize Toolbar" window):
"Downloads" - the one I'm talking about
"Download Status" - another one
I prefer "Downloads" but of course it's matter of taste.

PM v28 download item status(bottom) text is gone:
v28_1.png
If I click "Show All Downloads" download item status text is shown:
v28_2.png
This is how it should be like in v27.9.4:
v27_1.png
Regards,
Vilius M.

After doing clean PM v28 install, and creating new profile this issue is gone.
So maybe it's good idea to do that when migrating v27->v28.

When we try to help people we give lots of suggestions. One of those suggestions is "create a new profile". But some people make so many changes in Pale Moon, their profile gets corrupted between a major release such as updating from 27 to 28. These people won't create a new profile and will they tell us; "I don't want to create a new profile because it is such a hassle".

Creating a new profile solved your problem updating from 27 to 28, but it took you 3 days to create a new profile since you first reported your problem on Aug 18th and today is Aug 21st. When all else fails, some people will finally create a new profile as a last ditch effort and it solves their problem. Some people won't create a new profile, blame Pale Moon and go with a different browser.

If I would have to create a new profile for whatever reason, it would take me about 30 minutes of time with my backed up bookmarks and nothing else. Of course, I backup settings and other things so it wouldn't take me 30 minutes to create a new profile.

The above is "food for thought" for anyone else reading this.

So I hurried a bit - the bug is still here.
It happens only when "Use hardware acceleration when available" is on.

I found yet another text rendering anomaly (it shows up exactly as first one):
Lets add bookmark by pressing star:
v28_3.png
v28_3.png (8.63 KiB) Viewed 495 times
Name textbox text should be longer than textbox. Now lets push end button (which causes text to shift):
v28_4.png
v28_4.png (8.23 KiB) Viewed 495 times
text is not gone it will be displayed but only after about 4s, now we push home, text shifts, and another 4s text draw delay and etc..

Since my computers are old, I disable (uncheck) hardware acceleration. With my relatively old 4 computers, in Pale Moon, I've found hardware acceleration is more trouble than it is worth.

As far as I know, PM 28 has known issues with hardware acceleration, so disabling it is definitely a solution.
