Pale Moon 27.7.0 crashes on YouTube

Unread post by LigH1L » 2018-01-16, 10:22

When I open a YouTube page (main page or directly one with a video via youtu.be link), Pale Moon 27.7.0 (Win64) crashes with the small dialog (a problem occurred, close application).

It's fine in Safe Mode, or with all add-ons disabled. I will try working through them...

Seems to be caused by uBlock Origin 1.14.24.

Another PC – no issue; so it seems to depend on this specific installation.

Do you have different extensions installed on the two PC's? Have you tried with a new profile?

Please use AppCrashView to provide more information about the crash.

The "new profile" hint led me to a more specific solution:

I removed the website storage for youtube.com; I guess an sqlite database entry was b0rked?!
Fun and success!
