Since when does MSE have anything to do with a login procedure? That makes no sense.

Weird. I'm guessing it fails a check somewhere in the several megabytes of minified JS that leaves it in an unknown state because we don't exactly match any of the "mainstream" browsers.
Not really sure what to suggest here; you can try contacting the web masters of the site (although considering the service and collection of framework components in use they will likely just tell you to use a different browser).
