60FPS Youtube videos drain my CPU on 60-70%
Hello,
I have problem on Youtube, when I play videos in 60FPS. I have Core i7 6700HQ and playing these videos drains my CPU on 60-70% . In Opera, Chrome or Firefox is normal CPU usage (10-15%) .
Non 60FPS videos works in Palemoon with normal CPU usage, but 60FPS not.
Thank you in advance.

Picked a video with 60fps available. No issue.

You don't have hardware acceleration in Pale Moon.
But you do in Firefox:AzureCanvasBackend: skia
AzureContentBackend: cairo
AzureFallbackCanvasBackend: cairo
AzureSkiaAccelerated: 0
That is your (and only) reason that the CPU usage is high, because it will use the CPU to decode the video in this case.AzureCanvasAccelerated: 0
AzureCanvasBackend: direct2d 1.1
AzureContentBackend: direct2d 1.1
AzureFallbackCanvasBackend: skia

I have already HW acceleration enabled in PM settings

Re: 60FPS Youtube videos drain my CPU on 60-70%
Oh dear, it did Forcing layers acceleration in Palemoon Commander addon. It really speeds up my Palemoon, but maybe disabling GPU in CPU. So I uncheck this and 60FPS videos on Youtube now OK.

Bad news, looks like for the Pentium N3700, which is Braswell, it don't work and acts like I'm on a Vista-era beater!
The only thing that's better was with VLC! But VLC fails at jumping to a different stream location, the video keeps freezing indefinitely...
