PM Needs to Close

Hi, this happens every time I am inside my share trading account (https://www.cmcmarketsstockbroking.com.au).

What happens is that when I click 'save' to save any changes I make to my share portfolio, an error box pops up saying "PM encountered an error and needs to close". Then the browser shuts down.

Not sure how you can replicate this as it is inside a secure site, but thought I'd post anyway.

Happens every time, not just once or twice and started with the major update a week or so ago. I have the 64 bit version.

You may also want to check if antivirus software is interfering with browser operation. There have so far been some reports of Avast and Panda free antiviruses causing issues with the new milestone.

I'm unfamiliar with "unlocker" but it hooks itself into the browser. So does your AVG antivirus. Either may be the culprit.

Well, I disabled AVG, and lo and behold, it now works. But that was also after the latest upgrade. When I re-enabled AVG, it still works. So I would say whatever you did in the last upgrade fixed the issue.

Not necessarily - the problem may e.g. return after a full reboot, or may return when the browser is updated again. It's probably better if you just make a hard exception in AVG to not check Pale Moon's profile folder or anything in it.

You were of course right, the issue has returned. This might be a moot point, but how come this has only just started happening? I mean, surely a basic and necessary program like AVG shouldn't be causing a total crash like this? Something has changed in the PM program to cause this.

Things change all the time in Pale Moon. That's called development. And no, we cannot possibly develop with hacky solutions in mind that hook into a compiled binary and hijack internal functions from an unknown source through unknown means.
