Slow response time with WordPress Custom Sidebars Plugin

As a web designer I use PaleMoon (Version: 25.8.0 (x86) on a 64bit machine) as my browser of choice for my design work. What I will describe is also a problem in FireFox.
I design mostly for WordPress and one of the plugins I use a lot is Custom Sidebars (https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-sidebars/). It allows to me to create multiple sidebars and assign them to individual pages, posts, categories, taxonomies, etc. It works great.
The problem is when I use Custom Sidebars plugin in FF or PaleMoon the response time is terrible. I click to open a widget and it takes 10-20 seconds for it to open. I try to drag a widget and I get the same delay. I try to type some code or text into a widget and get the same delay, over and over again. It's very frustrating. But in Chrome there is no problem at all. So whenever I have to use the Custom Sidebar plugin I do it in Chrome.
Not sure if this is related but... A while back,I contacted the developer about the slow mouse wheel scrolling and they said "This is a known issue with the scrollbar js library that this plugin is using and we are working on it to fix it." (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/mou ... ?replies=7). The response time for the scrollbar is a bit improved but still not as good as Chrome.
Does anyone have any insights or suggests on what can be done about this?
Thanks for any help you can offer.
