What to do when browser doesn't offer to remember name and p

I removed the username and password for one of my gmail accounts from Saved Passwords when it wasn't updating correctly. Now it is not offering to save the password at all. Is there any way I can fix this?

Go to options - security - exceptions and remove the gmail site from that
