Master Password encryption query

Unread postby zl3ai » Sun, 14 Jan 2018, 12:15

I've had a good look around but I can't seem to find much information about what sort of encryption is used when the Master Password is utilised to protect other passwords, etc.

It uses symmetric encryption using the SDR (Secret Decoder Ring) API from NSS -- this uses Triple-DES internally.

Thanks Moonchild, I am very happy with that reply and it further cements my opinion that Pale Moon is the best browser I have found. It incorporates the best features of many other browsers and has even improved the features. Amazing.
