You can only unload inactive tabs in a current session by using third party utilities like Bar Tab, Dormancy and Tab Utilities. 'Memory Fox' operates in a completely different manner which means your tabs will always remain open regardless. There is in fact quite a lot of information (this one crops up quite often) in this thread and other forum threads about the way 'Memory Fox' releases memory, and I'm sure others with more expertise would be able to differentiate the mechanisms involved much more clearly than I could.
