XUL Runner is just a stub with enough code in it to be able to host things that run off the platform. It is not going away.
You obviously STILL misunderstand the point of this project and what we do (which is why you were removed from running our IRC channel) as well as an important fact that what Mozilla does has no effect on what we do. What I said was accurate for OUR project. If I recall correctly.. ChatZilla's standalone xulrunner powered program is bundled with ESR24 (or was last I checked). How convenient that our historical common ancestor is ESR24 and that recently another member of this community was tinkering with the stub so we have verified buildablity.
Perhaps, they should come here and explore their options. Because, there is no future for ChatZilla in it's current form or possibly any form over at Mozilla.. Only here.
