If anyone is still using Interlink, I've always had the mail .dbx storage folder in a handy location that can be backed up easily, like...
C:\Users\admin\Desktop\mail\ExampleFolder.dbx
But this year 2025 (after PM update?) it seems to have stopped using this folder and has switched to
C:/Users/admin/AppData/Roaming/Binary Outcast/Interlink/Profiles/hbmyyn67.default/Mail/Local Folders/temp.sbd/ExampleFolder
...which is up-to-the-minute updated. Anyone know what will happen to the files if I change the location back?

Take a guess
What would happen if for example you renamed C:\Windows to "C:\Windows 10"?

Re: Interlink storage folder
Local mailbox settings are stored per account. In your account manager, under each account, under "Server settings" at the bottom, there's a field "Local directory".
That said I recommend you migrate off of Interlink to Epyrus. The former is no longer maintained as far as I know, and would be considerably behind in security patches, which, while less critical for a mail client without active scripting, still isn't a good idea to keep using indefinitely.
This won't have anything to do with Pale Moon. If you created/recreated account entries they likely defaulted to the default profile folder for Interlink.

I see.
Looking at the Local Folders default folder to copy the .dbx files... they are only .sbd and .msf
What happens to the .dbx?

dbx? that's an Outlook Express format, I think. I'm not entirely sure if you can import that directly. You may have to find a converter for these files to convert them to "mbox" format which is native to Interlink/Epyrus and Apple Mail.

Re: Interlink storage folder
You're right, different folder. But the Interlink default folder does not have .mbox files, just the .sbd and .msf, and the rest without an extension (which maybe are the .mbox).

Yes on Windows if that account is set to "file per mailbox" then the extension-less files are .mbx format or similar. Historically these could get corrupted under certain circumstances, losing access to message data. Not sure how it works when set to "file per message", because mine are set to not copy message data from server to local storage.
Also .dbx is not saved by classic Thunderbird and cousins, AFAIK.
