Does Pale Moon update silently?
No. Pale Moon will always give you the option not to install an update to the browser. All this obscurity Mozilla is moving towards with silent updates and removing the version number from the about: box will not be followed. I prefer to keep things clear, transparent, and retaining the user's freedom of choice to run the version they want and that works for them.
