Avoiding tipping Cloudflare with Image Search Options

This had almost become a post asking for technical advice in the add-ons board, but writing it up proved an act of rubber duck debugging. This guide is for Image Search Options v2·0·3·7, which has been abandoned by its developer for XUL according to personal communication. By default, using the extension alerts Saucenao’s Cloudflare even from my better VPN servers respecting that. However, pasting the URL on Saucenao’s home page works scriptless as desired. I have discovered that, in ISO’s settings, one can click to edit particular search queries. Doing this for Saucenao permits one to enable using POST instead of GET by ticking a box which is unticked by default. Once this is done, one can locate image sources through the tooltip menu without activating Cloudflare. This has restored the extension’s function for me after several months idle; I hope others may benefit from this.

Alternatively you can right-click on the SauceNAO option in the add-on's context menu which will upload the right-clicked image (automatically implying POST) instead of sending the URL to said image.
