So the page
https://developer.palemoon.org/build/linux/
tells to fetch source through git, like this:
git clone https://repo.palemoon.org/MoonchildProd ... e-Moon.git ./
Which results in
fatal: unable to access 'https://repo.palemoon.org/MoonchildProd ... -Moon.git/': Failed to connect to repo.palemoon.org port 443 after 2004 ms: Couldn't connect to server
I'm suspecting it also is the reason while it fails to install in Gentoo.

Re: Gitish
I created the /home/kruppt/jailed/palemoon-source
and then cd into palemoon-source directory and ran
git clone https://repo.palemoon.org/MoonchildProd ... e-Moon.git ./
and it worked in my case.

Re: Gitish
Make sure git isn't blocked from connecting to the internet? There's no other reason why it would fail.
