Thanks for the suggestion! I added a few more boards.

Beside the new Add-On Forum i would also like a "(temporary) trash" forum for people who might write something not acc. to rules.

If people's posts break the forum rules, they should be deleted.

I agree with this stance, spam and such should just be deleted on sight. However, I would like to state that deleting of posts should be kept to an absolute minimum. For example, if someone does something wrong, or an argument starts, closing the thread with a warning to the users is a better way of handling it than just deleting posts, as that can quickly cause more arguments about who said what and when. Hopefully the forum will keep this to a minimum, as really PM shouldn't attract too many trolls.

Well, the idea of an thrash forum was that if someone doesn't keep rules (like the once that are/will be in Add-On thread) - i don't want to immediately delete it (which somehow makes a bad impression) if it is nothing that serious like spam, blustering, posting child-porn etc., but move it to trash forum so he can edit the massage and it's moved back if it's acc. to rules. Get my point/drift? But if you don't like that it's ok for me too.

So how do you propose to move a message back in its place in a running thread after you have moved it to a different forum? Meticulously find the place it was in and then merge it back? XD
It's a nice idea of course but you can't use a separate forum as a temporary hold area... If people don't post according to the rules for inclusion in the add-on forum, the result will simply be that the proposed add-on won't be added to the user-suggested list.

I agree with locking topics if they start to get out of hand + warnings. And if things are immediately and clearly in violation with what you agree on when registering, then yes, deletion, and if persisted, banning of the user and/or IP is called for.

Let's just all hope it's not going to be needed!

for a software based forum, only spammers need to be deal with;

just my 2 cents

I moderate a few Chrome forums and I simply ban the spammers;

for disagreements between members, a nice post would put them in place (most of the time)

There is no need to put it back in place - just at the end - his fault if he doesn't keep rulez :D. And for sure you would need to write an extra pm that he has to correct his post (you have not followed rulez - we post moved - plz correct - then we move it back) - its just a (nicer) "warning" (than deleting) with a hopeful result of people keeping the rulez.

Yeah, i mean i think most/all pale moon users won't do such things, they are lets say more advanced. Just to be prepared for any case. (but we already had spammers)

So no trash forum? But there would be a nice new one: HowTo(s) - you could post how to use vpn/proxy for example.

I'll add that - provided they are Tutorials and Howtos for Pale Moon, and not for third party programs. (e.g. no "How to I set up Norton Firewall to allow Pale Moon to access the Internet")

What about "other/future projects" section?

I really like the thunderbird optimization project and have few questions about it, but don't know where to post them.
Or is it still considered as potential future project? Please, make it official project! ;)
