502 error trying to download new PM

I've been trying for over an hour to download the new Pale Moon version but I keep getting this:

502 Bad Gateway
nginx

It happens on every link.

I got the newest version 34.2.2 earlier this morning, but now I get the same bad Gateway on the link I use. I think in a few hours it will work again for you.

Direct URLs work however, like https://rm-eu.palemoon.org/release/palemoon-34.2.2.linux-x86_64-gtk2.tar.xz.sig.

Should be fixed now.
This was due to having to move the main website to a new host and the configuration not matching.

Is it possible this problem could show up in only Chrome-like browsers and not in UXP-based browsers? As in, is there anything Chrome has and non-Chrome browsers don't have, that would manifest this way?

No, there shouldn't be an issue specific to Chrome.
