Search has changed

Sort of a PSA: Search on the forum has changed to now more directly use the capabilities of the database server instead of phpBB's manual, PHP-based search indexing.
This may result in different responses than you are used to, but it should be an improvement and avoid the common issue of search terms being ignored.

Now I can search for Windows 7 or the Online Safety Act without the query degenerating into nonsense! Thank you for mending this, the only flaw in phpBB boards that has really troubled me in twenty years on them.

Just to note, you'd want to enclose that search in quotes, otherwise, you'll get an 'Ignored' on the 7.

At least you can use that now. You couldn't before and it would just take Windows and 7 separately.

Bonus tip: you can use "+" and "-" to quickly specify whether you want to have or not have the term
e.g.:

Oh wow, this is a huge improvement... I used to never use the forum search in the past and would try to use a search engine to search the forum to "get around" our built-in search. I really appreciate this.

This is an awesome development. I could almost never find what I was looking for, without some very unique word being present. "" and +&- are chef's kiss.
