Some users have most active board and post hidden/shown
Sometime in the indefinite past, I could see that my profile no longer featured the user activity entries showing my most active board or post. Because this disappeared from Moonchild’s profile also, I supposed this was a quiet, administrative choice to remove it, but today, I could see someone with them still. I neither need nor particularly want my statistics back, but why does this affect some, but not all users?

Re: Some users have most active board and post hidden/shown
It's a server load consideration. If users have more than a certain amount of total posts, the query to get the most active board and post becomes really expensive to run against the forum database. I'm using default settings for the cut-off point. It can possibly be bumped up because the server has headroom for it, but I don't think if it's actually worth it.

@ Moonchild
If it comes down to "cost" money wise, I think you should just leave it the way you have it set up.

No, I was talking about computational cost, not financial.
If it would come to having to pay more or turn down settings, then I'd always go the settings route first unless essential.

My error noted. But I still think you should leave it the way you have it set up.

It's not necessarily an error on your part. I should have clarified. In many situations for businesses, database queries do come at a literal cost (e.g. if their database is in the cloud) so it could easily be interpreted in both ways. I just don't use that kind of setup here.Night Wing wrote: ↑2026-01-15, 11:08My error noted. But I still think you should leave it the way you have it set up.
