I just noticed a banner ad for Ethical Ads which appeared and it is covering up my entire Status Bar at the bottom of my monitor's screen. I am seeing this banner because I have uBlock Origin "disabled" for the Pale Moon Forum site.
I can close the banner ad, but if I go to a different page or a different topic, the banner ad pops right back up and again covering up my Status Bar. I do not like playing "whack-a-mole" with banner ads by constantly closing the banner and it pops right back up.
If this continues, I am going to "enable" uBlock Origin for the Pale Moon Forum site to permanently "kill" this intrusive and obnoxious behavior especially when it comes to my Status Bar.

Re: Ethical Ads Banner Covering Up Status Bar In Pale Moon
The status bar being covered makes no sense because the status bar is not part of page content... I'm really confused how this could ever interfere.
I'm looking into some placement options for some minimal and privacy-respecting (non-tracking, no-cookie) ads, as you noticed. The "sticky" option may not be the most suitable if it interferes with use of the site though, so I'll look at some other options.

I just enabled ethical ads, and it doesn't cover it up for me (and it shouldn't). If I scroll down the only thing it covers is Privacy | Terms.

Thank you for fixing it and putting it in a different place for the banner ad.

Yeah it's covering part of the page content regardless in the bottom sticky so it'd need to be changed anyway.
I've dropped it above the fold in-line now. Takes slightly more space but is still unobtrusive (and dark mode should have dark banners too, to match)

Your experience with the placement of the banner ad and mine were different. Maybe because I use linux Pale Moon where as you might be using windows Pale Moon. Just a guess on my part.
