How to change color of html icons

Unread post by atztek » 2022-12-03, 15:28

Made Palemoon the default browser and all the icons of the HTML files changed the color to light gray. As a result, all HTML files became indistinguishable from txt-s, etc. How to change the color of the icons of html files?

You do not state which OS you are using?

For clarity, a picture of your current problem with light grey .html file icons would help to confirm these are the default Pale Moon .html file association icons... and not some other problem with your OS' default file association and/or your OS' icon store? :)

(Note: Both example default file association list extracts below are from Windows 7)

Not sure what a 'txt-s' file is?

Do you mean .txt files? If so, the simplest option could be to alter your OS' default file association for .txt files to another programme... e.g. 'Notepad' would be the standard default file association for all Text Document (.txt) files on Windows OS' which uses a different 'lines on a page' icon?

Discussion and suggestions in these 4 previous forum topics on the subject of 'default file association icons' may assist:
