Consider making a custom phpBB theme for the forum

This forum is currently using the default phpBB theme which is also used on many other boards who don't focus on look.

I think that this forum should have it's own theme that makes it look different from other boards.

Personally I think it looks fine just the way it is, and very happy it does not look like a multi-colored candy cane.
And besides, who is going to decide what it looks like? you, me? not likely, and what happens if I don't like the look that you like?

Yes, I'm happy with the current look too as for the other phpBB forums I frequent.

There was a plan to do this back in 2015 and it would have been great but then other conserns dominated then eventually phpbb was upgraded which would have wasted that work and this version of phpbb is far less customizable and more difficult to theme for so basically that plan was relegated to the can't be bothered category.

Plus given the UXP aspect of more than just Pale Moon despite that being the primary focus it could be confusing.
