Phasing out everything WinXP

Unread post by Moonchild » 2018-05-07, 11:05

It's been over 4 years since Microsoft ended the life cycle of Windows XP (and almost as long for Server 2003).
While we've fostered users on Windows XP in a self-help fashion for a while, including the discussions for an as of yet to be branded fork of Pale Moon for NT 5.* style kernels, we're at this point finding this increasingly distracting and deviating from what Pale Moon targets, and as such these discussions should be moved elsewhere. We want to keep this forum focused on current and active parts of this project only -- especially with the already broader targets of UXP and its applications being added to it.

We'll be moving the XP board to our archived boards and kindly request that you find a better location to discuss browser development for Windows XP and alike than this forum.
Please honor this request. Do not abuse the general discussion forum or the likes with extended discussions about this -- the occasional post is fine of course but we'd prefer not to have to make this a hard rule due to abuse of the board as a replacement for what has been archived.

Thanks in advance for your consideration!

Respectfully request that you post a link to feodr's fork in the above post. i.e. "If you want to talk about XP, go to <link> not here"

I prefer that people make up their own minds and do some searching themselves instead of lifting one particular build out. It's fair for everyone that way.
