Increase post edit report time
Sorry if this is already addressed elsewhere. I've noticed recently that when you edit a post (at least in the general forum) immediately after posting it it will show in your post that you have edited it. If i recall correctly in the recent past we were given 20-30 minutes or something like that to edit posts before the published post would indicate it was edited. So this way if you goofed something up or needed to quickly include something you forgot you could do that without getting the edit message in the bottom of the post which in my opinion makes the post look sloppy. I was thinking even if you gave just 5 minutes to edit the post before getting the edit message and edit count that this would be helpful in that it would give a reasonable amount of time to make corrections and keep the post nice and clean looking.

Re: Increase post edit time
I'm in agreement with you. I'm not a fan of the way editing is now handled. I'm guessing it has to do with the new BB software which is now in use.

Re: Increase post edit time
Any edit to any post will immediately indicate it was edited. This has nothing to do with the allowed edit time on the board.
This is because of an extension that keeps a log of all edits to posts for moderators, which allows us to keep track of edits to catch people who abuse their edit privileges.

Yeah I was just referring to this which is a recent change from how it used to be. But I understand since it helps the moderators as you say.Moonchild wrote:Any edit to any post will immediately indicate it was edited.
