Our annual user purge is coming up in the next couple of days.
This year, we will be doing a more extensive sweep of our user base to remove personal data of inactive users.
We will be purging all user accounts that:
- Have not logged in in the past year and have fewer than 25 posts.
- Have not logged in in the past 2 years, regardless of number of posts.
- Are deactivated due to account detail changes without confirmation.
- Are manually deactivated by our administration.
To prevent your account from being purged, simply log in to the forum. You do not need to post anything or do anything else, just make sure you use your user name and password to log in at least once, which will mark your user status as "active". If you normally stay logged in to the forum, you do not have to do anything; simply visit the site in your logged-in state at least once.
Did you know that moral outrage triggers the pleasure centers of the brain? It's unlikely you can actually get addicted to outrage, but there is plausible evidence that you can become strongly predisposed to it.
