phpBB kept saying that error message "too many connections" was returned from the SQL server. Was the SQL server DoS'ed or just maintenance?
I didn't see anything about the board having maintenance on 9/17. (17/9)

I had the same issue last night, checked back an hr later and all was well...

Some kind of glitch; I initially thought DoS as well but didn't see anything in the logs to support that. I ran some db maintenance afterward but all looked OK. I'm keeping an eye on it.

Update: seems like it was a lingering issue from abuse happening on the 15th. Someone on Comcast hammering the server with invalid requests, saturating the SQL server with stale connections. I'll have a look at blocking the type of request causing this.
