Can't download update. Cloudfare wants me to connect to Google to prove I'm human.

Did you surf over TOR?
Then use a normal connection.

I myself, never see Cloudfare.

TOR not even installed; no proxy or VPN either. But lots of blocking. This isn't typical for www.palemoon.org. I will not do any troubleshooting on my end - any site that gives me that message (or the other insulting one) is a dead end.

And why should we, in that case?

We have mirrors you can download from. I'm sure plenty of software portals will also carry a copy of Pale Moon.

If cloudflare pops up with a verification, then there will be a reason for it (most likely bad behavior from your immediate IP neighborhood or your IP in particular, or a known-bad UA sent, like a fake IE6 one). CF settings are at a normal level.

(if you let me know your IP (v4 or v6) then I can look up the log and let you know what rule was triggered)

I don't expect you to troubleshoot based on one isolated report, but maybe if you get multiple reports.

Anyway, I fixed it without connecting to Google. They wanted proof I was human so I turned the box off.

I didn't initially suspect the IP for this, but it probably was since the IP I had for that session wasn't one in this ISP's typical range (was one in their alternate range that is used occasionally) but now is back to normal. If Cloudfare would mention something about suspicious IP it would be more meaningful than the messages they presented.

It's not possible to create a custom page for every possible rule they have (it's a large collection).
If it bothers you and you think it's a bug, feel free to complain to cloudflare (you should mention the "ray ID" if you report anything so they have a point of reference) -- I'm not going to change CF's settings which work well right now and keep the bad bots out.
