Problem with PM portal/startpage

Running latest PM for Linux x64.
Starting to day, when I open PM, and am taken to my home page, the PM portal, I get asked every time to configure it takes way too long, and if I close PM and start it again, I get the same thing. This is something new. Is there a way to make it "just work" like it did before? I've changed my home page to bing to avoid the problem, but I'd prefer to use the PM portal: It keeps me up to date with PM stuff.
Any help, much appreciated.

Are you clearing your cookies every time you exit Pale Moon? If yes, that most likely is the problem.

Yes, I do clear cookies on exit. Wasn't a problem before.

This may help:

And if no joy with the support info there, feel free to send them a message!
Unfortunately we don't operate the portal so we don't have an in-depth answer for you here. Clearing cookies when you don't have an account (and you still need to accept cookies if you want to stay logged in) will indeed clear your customizations. This has been the case for quite a while, actually -- ans start.me does continue their development of the portal which changes how things work on occasion.

I don't experience the problem you describe using Pale Moon portable 26.2.2, but I do keep cookies for this site. Btw, I use the Self-Destructing Cookies add-on so that I only keep cookies for the sites I need to keep them for. The add-on blocks trackers automatically but allows other cookies at the time the website is loaded so that websites will work and then by default deletes cookies for the website when you close the site unless you have the add-on set to retain the cookie for the website which I do for websites I want to stay logged into (as is the case with start.me).

Thanks for the replies. It works correctly now, and I didn't enable cookies for the site. Perhaps the developers changed something?
In any case, nice to have the PM start page back. It's quite good, and keeps me informed about issues or updates for PM.
