MC, I know you already said you want to keep the forum uncluttered, but would you consider taking the "Active topics" link out from behind the hamburger menu? Maybe put it next to "Unread posts"?

I have to keep the responsive design on very low screen widths in mind -- adding anything more in that location would cause issues with it starting to reflow on narrow screens.
I'll look into adding more styles to the forum though where this isn't necessarily a concern.
