Following up on a tip from a user, I've signed up for having an automatic cryptocurrency conversion tool available on the website for donations.
If you wish to donate in cryptocurrencies other than BTC, you can click the "Pay with Altcoins" button and use the conversion to indirectly donate bitcoins to the project.
I have no idea if, or how well, this works - it looks solid and respectable at any rate.

Re: Shifty button on the website
I've been thinking about mining litecoins for donations. What would be the cheapest* way to mine those? I don't really have a spare PC; I do have an older Raspberry Pi, but I need to get some adapter to get some serial to usb adapter to make any use of it.

Re: Shifty button on the website
There are some USB stick miners you could use for this. They aren't expensive to get, and you can pool mine with them. Just have to make sure you get ones with proper cooling fins

Can you suggest some, Moonchild?
Anyway isn't Bitcoin hard to mine as normal user? Don't know the actual state but last time other coins are simpler for personal mining.

It's been a while since I looked at mining hardware, so I can't really help you. You'll just have to do some research.
I do, indeed, suggest you don't try to mine bitcoins directly -- other coins will be much more likely to give you some satisfaction and return because you're not battling against others who have insanely expensive hardware and resources to run them. Focusing on Scrypt-based coins might be best.

Re: Shifty button on the website
I will sell you a double SHA256 mining usb asic!
(that which bitcoin and some other coins use, litecoin and doge use scrypt as for as i know)
I dont know the specs off the bat but I'll look when I am home. Its called Redfury.
EDIT: Its a Redfury BF1 ASIC with 2,7-3 GH/s
I really dont care how much anyone gives me for it, for I am too lazy to research its viability for altcoins.
It was used in the time when mining Bitcoins directly was still feasible, since then this unit is not capable of bringing any profit on Bitcoin.
Maybe some other double sha256 coin still has a low enough difficulty to use this thing.
