We've had a per-board locking policy in place for a while but I forgot to disable the global one (which would override anything else locking threads more than 7 months untouched) this was unintended for the addon extension releases board and theme releases board (and other potentially very long-duration locking policy boards).
I've removed the global locking policy again and unlocked relevant threads that were unintentionally locked.
Auto-locking by mistake solved.
