Humorous ad on the addons site

Unread post by doofy » 2019-09-17, 23:12

I never see ads anywhere on the PM site, but I've just fired up my vanilla PM portable to update it, and wandered off to the addons site where I saw this:

Someone at PM with a sense of humor?
Or has it always been there and I haven't noticed cos I don't see ads?
It doesn't appear to be static, but it pops up often enough.

Yes. It has been up on the Pale Moon sites more and more ever since Google declaired us a "Browser Toolbar" so we couldn't monitize search results and since we had to remove ads from the forum or else we had to censor user content according to Google including not allowing negative speech about Google or their shady monopolistic business practices like sabotaging adverting revenue.

Good grief talk about hiding in the enemies camp.I can barely believe it and i must admit i have never seen that obnoxious ad myself.
Maybe we as PM users can create an ad ourselves and infiltrate the mozilla camp lol,.

No, but what you can do is donate through Patreon to reach our "no advertising" monthly goal so we can remove these ads.
