Is anyone running NoScript version 5?
As the subject line asks, are there any PM users who are using the new version 5 of NoScript?
Re: Is anyone running NoScript version 5?

I don't get it. Why install it at all then?dark_moon wrote:

And just to be sure, you have version 5 installed?

As i say a lot of times: NoScript have more protections and not only a White/ Blacklist for JavaScript.

Okay, thank you ("you" is plural).

Thats a bug after 2.9.0.14 but for a friend it looks fixed with v5.hackerman1 wrote:"Automatically reload affected pages when permissions change" doesn´t work
Try clean NoScript settings.

NoScript version 5 uses embedded WebExtensions.
It will not be compatible with us (not fully, anyway).

I wonder if the developer would be agreeable to develop a version specifically for PM?Lootyhoof wrote:

Re: Is anyone running NoScript version 5?
Several posts in this thread were moved to a new topic specific to NoScript 2.x versions. Everything that seems to specific to NoScript 5.x versions has been left as part of this topic. If you feel that your post was not moved and should have been; or was moved and shouldn't have been, let me know (including a link to the specific post to move) and I'll move it to the correct thread.

Re: Is anyone running NoScript version 5?
Marked as solved since version 5 uses embedded WebExtensions and I won't be using it for that reason.
BTW, what does "embedded" mean? Is that different than plain WebExtensions?

Re: Is anyone running NoScript version 5?
I just installed v5 on my Pale moon and it runs good.
And it especially made compatible with Pale moon, regardless embedded WebExtensions. Embeded means here that it also tend to be compatible with it.

Off-topic:
By the way there is a google serach fix addon that was gone to WebExtensions too, it also has changed only two files.
So may be this is not so horrible thing at all

Re: Is anyone running NoScript version 5?
Mozilla introduced half-assed hybrid transition extensions which will be killed off quickly.. I don't get it.. Everyone knows toolkit code won't be runnable in extensions after this year so this hybrid transitional stage seems very odd.
