Twitch.tv Videos Do Not Play in Pale Moon 27

After updating Pale Moon to version 27, I am no longer able to view videos on Twitch.tv. I get only an error message in the middle of the video reading, "Error while decoding media resource." I was watching Twitch earlier this morning before I got the prompt to update, but now having done that, no videos are viewable. I have no problem viewing videos on YouTube. I wouldn't even know where to begin troubleshooting this aside from clearing the cache and restarting the browser, which I've done already. Any tips?

There have been a number of media changes between b3 and release; that's been mostly Travis' work and looked to be OK when tested (although I didn't test twitch)

I had to revert to using Flash while testing this out, that took several refreshes, whitelisting with uBlockO, etc. to accomplish (next step would have been clearing twitch cookies + cache).

To revert to Flash, click the settings button on the player screen and turn off HTML5, supply feedback and refresh the page. If you have any kind of adblocking, you might also need to disable that temporarily to make it stick, going through that switching process 2-3 times.

Hopefully we'll know more about what's behind this issue soon.

Workaround: go to Options -> Content
Uncheck "Enable Media Source Extensions (MSE)"

This will have Twitch fall back to normal (non-MSE) streaming.

The workaround confirmed to work without a browser restart, videos autostart using HTML5, set your video quality options again and you're good to go

Unfortunately, unchecking MSE in content options didn't fix this on my end. Now, the media player keeps showing "No supported video backend available; Flash is not installed" message.

wost_ : can you test from a new Profile, there might be something running interference for you.

I started having the same problem recently in 27.1. Extremely annoying. I would say it happens about 60% of the time.
