Need Private Browsing for Gmail?

Hi,
Apologies if this is an old and well known issue.
There is a redirect when you hit GMail, which sends you to your account inbox. This has failed on me each time. So I turned off all of my addons, with the same result, then started in safe-mode with nothing at all running -- same result -- and finally to Private Browsing -- which works, :wtf: and is also confusing as hell since I didn't think there was much difference between safe and private. Learning all the time I am.

Any ideas or fixes for this? I love the browser, and really I don't have to use it for mail. I can easily use the others. I wanted this more for development anyway. Still...

You should try clearing your Google cookies.

I guess I should have mentioned that I did that.. also this is a fresh install. The only addons I have are the Adblocker you guys made, Evernote, Clearly (also evernote) and diigo. I've uninstalled each of them and tried with a completely fresh install as well.

Thank you.

Maybe someone else has an idea, because gmail works flawlessly for just about everyone, and for people where it doesn't, it's solved by culling the cookies to "reset" gmail's login system to a clean state. I don't have any further ideas about what might cause this.

Registered an account just to chime in that I am having the same issue. Blitzed all my cookies/history from Chrome, completely fresh install of Pale Moon.

This browser is better than Chrome in every way but the amount of work I do in gmail makes it unusable for me as a daily browser. :( Hope someone out there has come up with a solution, I'd hate to go back to Chrome.

I find that loading hangs occasionally at the loading bar - url: https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox
If I cut the url down to https://mail.google.com/
It will load fine.

I've never cleared the gmail cookies so I'm not sure whether this is a solution for the same problem or not, but give it a try!
