I am wondering if the PM Portable 25.0.1 will run OK on a XP computer, or if you have to use the Portable Atom 25.0.1 version.

Does the portable version have to run from a USB drive or can it run from the desktop as well?

Is it OK to run the portable if you have PM 24 or PM4XP on the computer?

You have to use portable atom version.
The portable version can run from anywhere. Its default settings are more adapated for USB drive usage but you shouldn't notice any real issue.
Yes you can run the portable with any version of PM aside.
