I have just "installed" Pale Moon Portable 24.3.2 x86 (32-bit) in a Partition on my secondary HDD on my 64 bit Windows 7 Desktop.
I have copied Palemoon-Portable.ini as User.ini and am now changing this in the same way that I altered the Palemoon-Portable.ini in Pale Moon Portable 19.0.2 x86 (32-bit).
My first edit is removal of the ';' prefix to
MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1
I believe this change allowed multiple instances to run, and I still want this ability.
The v19.0.2 has four more differences.
Please advise me if these are due to changes in what is initially delivered upon installation,
or if they are configuration changes I made for v19 and which could still be relevant to v 24 :-
----------------------------------
v19
DirRemove=$ExeDir$\uninstall
DirCopy=$ExeDir$\defaults\profile|%MOZ_PROFILE_PATH%
FileDelete=%MOZ_PROFILE_PATH%\compreg.dat;Xul.mfl;XPC.mfl
DirRemove=$Lib$\Mozilla\$AppName$
v24
DirRemove=$ExeDir$\uninstall
DirCopy=$ExeDir$\defaults\profile|%MOZ_PROFILE_PATH%
FileDelete=%MOZ_PROFILE_PATH%\compreg.dat
DirRemove=$Lib$\Mozilla\$AppName$
----------------------------------
v19
;(bug urlclassifier3.sqlite)
browser.safebrowsing.enabled=false
browser.safebrowsing.malware.enabled=false
v24 - no such entry
----------------------------------
v19
;(disable XUL cache)
nglayout.debug.disable_xul_cache=true
v24 - no such entry
----------------------------------
v24
;don't install extensions from the host PC
extensions.enabledScopes=5
v19 - no such entry.
----------------------------------

Re: Please advise me upon changes to Palemoon-Portable.ini
These 4 entries are updates to the ini from my end to follow up on changes in the browser.
The XUL cache is now enabled for portables to improve performance, Safebrowsing is enabled since the previous bug for the urlclassifier no longer applies, and not enabling host PC scopes prevents the portable from picking up unwanted extensions from the host PC it is run on (potential security consideration).
