Problem with Security Popup

Unread post by NoPopup » 2017-12-04, 07:04

If I run the visitor exchange service websyndic.com, an https page will be opened.
Then a annoying popup always appears:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Security Warning
Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party.

Are you sure you want to continue sending this information?
--------------------------------------------------------------

Have tried all sorts of things under about:config.
Does anyone have a solution for me?
I want the message to disappear.

Do you mean this page: https://www.websyndic.com/wv3/ ?

It loads fine here with no popups. Beyond that can't say, as I have no account.

The Palemoon window pops up when I run the viewbar.
Pages are called up by other Exchange members in a different tab.
The https is having problems here....

I don't know if it's possible for you to turn off that warning.
This sounds like it's triggered by the website's configuration and may need to be addressed by them. (Though there was a suggestion in some web-searched material on this that if you initially logged in from an http location you can fix the problem by logging in directly via a secure login page.)

You might consider contacting the site and asking them to fix their secure-to-insecure-connection problem.
Here are a few support articles on the subject:
