Re: how to factory reset "about:config" settings
Start the browser while holding SHIFT pressed down. This will call up the safe mode/recovery dialog.
Check "Reset all user preferences to Pale Moon defaults" and click "Make changes and restart"

Yes,
But how to do it in Linux ?
Sift does work for windows.
As this PLugin, completely messes up the browser, including the inability to restore sessions, does not fit with a GUI etc

It seems So promising and useful addon, to bad, it acts like this..
Would be good to have in hard menu something like this:
Troubleshoot menu https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/us ... ation-page
Refresh menu: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/re ... d-settings
But seems there is some clever ones, as before in windows, now another laptop in linux fresh install - after looking up some topics, political stuff fast laptop turns off screen, besides other tricky things, Seems too utopical to imagine it is happening so can not even assume what to do, the IP is not static also so they watchers must have some great overview.. another PC my firewall log, just one day was 80% missing... there was some old.. some new.. but amount that was before was missing.. running out of tinfoil hats :p and now the User agent Privacy Addon also.. luckily others as search show had also similar issue... most people wil newer make post about it to internet so it will go unnoticed : )

Admitted a Windows user here, but I believe you can use the following for safe mode
(> Reset all user preferences to Pale Moon defaults):
Help > Restart in Safe Mode...
Help > Troubleshooting Information
(or, navigate to about:support)
