Palemoon Portable 7.0.1 not starting

Just downloaded and applied 7.0.1 right over 6.0.2 and the program won't start. Only thing I notice is that I get the splast screen and the launcher does try starting palemoon, but it causes my cpu to go to 100% for about 2 minutes, consumes 200MB ram, and then exits ram. How would one troubleshoot this since I even tried extracting into a new directory and launching it from there?

OK, first off: Pale Moon portable 7.0.1 doesn't exist. Did you download it from www.palemoon.org or from somewhere else?

Check your task manager. if there are any palemoon.exe, plugin-container.exe or palemoon-portable.exe processes still running, end those processes. then try to run the portable again from the "fresh" extract (the one that you did on a second attempt)

Hi, Thank you very much for your hard work on this project !!!

I downloaded from PM site link & ran 7-0 portable fresh. Windows XP Home. Clicked on the resulting executable, Got splash screen, then nothing. Checked task mgr- first PM was shown in process tab, no PM in applications tab. Back to process tab- PM gone.

Tried again- same result. Deleted PM 7-0 folder. Re-downloaded from link on PM site. Same result.

PM 6-0-2 ran fine on my XP Home machine. Still does. Please help.

Hi, I'm just face the same problem!
When I start PaleMoon, it crashes few minutes later.
Debugger(Visual Studio 2005) said,
An Unhandled exception has occurred in your application(palemoon.exe 0x01447bc4 ).

Deleted all files and downloaded package from http://storage.sity.nl/palemoon/Palemoo ... le-7.0.exe. Double click on exe and let it installed to my hard drive (e.g. c:\portable\apps\palemoon). None of the three exist in taskmanager before starting and get the same results. Splash screen then palemoon.exe comes in where it consumes 100% for a bit and then just exits. No error messages, nothing to windows event log.

I have a similar problem. Pale Moon Portable 7.0 crashes on startup. The problem occurs on a clean profile as well. My OS is Windows 7 SP1.

I'm also experiencing issues with Pale Moon Portable 7.

I've tried overwriting my existing 6.02 portable with 7, however everytime i start, Pale Moon is still showing version 6.02 in 'About Pale Moon' window.

I've also tried extracting portable 7 to a new directory. This cause Pale Moon portable unable to start properly. Yes, in the Task Manager, it will show Palemoon-Portable.exe and palemoon.exe, however, this will invoke the Werfault.exe (Windows Problem Reporting) before all 3 executables all killed off. This is as what the thread started said; 1 will only see splashscreen that is it.

I've just updated it to 7.0a which should fix this issue.
