Unread post by 90Obadiah » 2019-07-10, 08:32

Is this something that can be implemented into Pale moon's JavaScript engine?

If this is something which is called "standard" and no "draft" - and essential... i am pretty sure that this will be watched and examined.

If that is something called "sugar" - or just one random draft... then it is more up to the user to find a way to implement it either by delivering patches on their own or finding someone else who is able to do this for them.

Look at the bottom of the article (second link).
It's not supported by anything mainstream. Why on earth would we support it?

Also, the TC39 proposal has the following caution:
A note of caution

This proposal contains two advanced features, WeakRefs and FinalizationGroups. Their correct use takes careful thought, and they are best avoided if possible.
My question to the TC39 group would be: if it's a feature best avoided, why propose it to be added to begin with?
