The Australis UI is a regression compared to Pale Moon so Waterfox is not something I use. I just keep an eye on it and I have have to say I like their new logo. Not with the white circle as seen on their website, but naked as displayed by the browser.

Some users were unhappy about the new logo, but I didn't like the old Waterfox logo. The Pale Moon logo isn't bad, just very hard. Like a fist in the stomach. The new PM artwork is really nice, but I doubt a white moon would be suitable.

I like the icons for Borealis Navigator and Interlink Mail & News. Maybe a Pale Moon logo could be made in the style of those logos?
Anyway, the icon is not the most important thing, but this thread is about icons so those are my thoughts on the subject.

Clearly: no, keep the current Pale Moon logo, because it looks like a pale moon.

I love pancakes. They are for eating. They are, however, totally unrelated to the browser named Pale Moon. Or is someone going to suggest rebranding Pale Moon as Pan Cake at the same time?

Current logo and icon is fine. No change required. I'm not a fan of the color blue, but a blue moon fits the program name perfectly.

There are various spectrums of blue.

Moonchild's submission isn't quite what I had in mind when I suggest a logo update.

There are also various pale colors. Pale white, pale yellow, pale green, pale bluish green with a little bit of yellow-white glow... And also pale blue, (which looks like a sad color to me).

There are also different phases of the moon that I think would make a neater logo, instead of a full moon which is just a circle.

Though I think it should be a stylized simple graphic, as all logos/app icons should be.

Of course it wasn't -- it was combined with the other major suggestion, a full moon "with a face". so combined with your "glowing yellow/green" is what resulted.

any chance I can add a small suggestion? (or does it need a new post?? )

I have been using the 'splash' addon to help newbies to realize that PM **is** loading, but there is still a delay....

- the new pale moon 28.5.0 'about' screen looks great, but....

Is it possible to show this screen similar to 'splash' but! how possible is it to display it *less* than a second after the shortcut is clicked??

-this would stop newbs from thinking it has crashed...
