Hello all!
Please add a mute sound in the tabs. This is not enough, since I switched from Firefox to Pale Moon.
It is desirable that it works like in Firefox — the tab is muted when you click on the speaker icon and when you click again — tab is unmuted.
Sorry for my bad English :(

Extensions are there for a reason. Extensions are a core part of this browser's underlying principles, to add features specific to YOUR workflow.

I know. I use extension "Expose Noisy Tabs"and this extension don't work at all sites. Other browsers has this feature build-in. This can't be in Pale Moon?Moonchild wrote:Extensions are there for a reason. Extensions are a core part of this browser's underlying principles, to add features specific to YOUR workflow.

You might find this setting helpful, it blocks media from playing in background tabs.
about:config -> media.block-play-until-visible = true

Hello,
Since you have problems with the extension (or sites), the best is that you contact the developer :
https://github.com/wsdfhjxc/expose-noisy-tabs
ps : the extension works only with HTML5 media elements and Flash is not supported.

Re: Add feature to mute tabs without extensions
Yeah, the extension doesn't work with Flash and that's why it doesn't work on all sites. I wish the feature was built in, too, and worked for all audio!
It was added in Firefox 42, and it works in Basilisk. Ostensibly most of the back-end work is already in UXP, so maybe it wouldn't be too hard to add the feature to Pale Moon, but I don't know.
I have what I believe are most of the relevant Bugzilla bugs, if anyone wants those without finding them themselves.
