Remember credentials for [some] HTTP login/signin

Hi,

If I'm not wrong, Pale Moon's designed to not remember any username and/or password for HTTP [not secure] logins/signins, ad hoc —unlike Mozilla Firefox. Is that right?

Well, I log in / sign in my routers almost every day and since Pale Moon doesn't remember user not password, I have to enter credentials manually, which's not very convenient when you have to do it several times per week. As you probably know, a lot of routers and antennas are only accessible via HTTP access or —in some worse cases— deprecated/invalid HTTPS access. Mozilla Firefox remembers HTTP logins so I just have to hit Enter and it's done.

So I'd like to suggest if there's a chance for Pale Moon to remember insecure accesses —optionally at least, not enabled by default—. For instance, it could be applied only to private IP addresses ranges, which is where most modems and routers are set for access, like:
  • 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
  • 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255
  • 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255
If that's a no go, then I'm gonna convert my suggestion in a couple of questions: is there any preference at about:config to remember HTTP logins? If not, is there any working add on to do it so?

Thanks for reading.

There should be no issue remembering passwords for reserved LAN domains, even by IP address.
