API documentation

Unread post by thosrtanner » 2017-06-02, 12:57

When mozilla drop xul and stuff, what is going to happen to all the MDN documentation (I see it has big red things all over it already)?

Not that the documentation is always very helpful - you try doing anything with livemarks and go to the places/livemarks page. A quick trawl through that takes you to a (synchronous) interface which looks fine until you click on the interface name and find out it has been obsoleted, and the only documentation for the replacement (which is async because everything needs to be async nowadays apparently), is the idl file, and the only way you can out what the interface is called is a posting in the mozilla developers forum. Urgh

We do have a developer wiki. Anyone can create an account, and enhance and add documentation to it :)
Please get in touch with Lootyhoof or Matt A Tobin if you need help getting started.
